Veiled Princess you are becoming more and more offensive as this thread continues.... do you think you will be able to change our minds about the topic of this thread.... the poor woman was mentally ill yes she did wrong yes a child died... where was the pro-life people in her time of need?

You are allowed to think whatever you like about abortion but the thread is not about abortion it is about the loss of life of a child because the childs mom was so desparate and ill she did an awful thing....

I try to have a little compasion for anyone who finds themselves in a situation that they feel they have no choice but to do something like this... maybe the woman was hoping she would die also who know's but hoefully she will get the help she so needs.... I am just thankful that there are people out there that can see beyond the horror of all of this and actualy to some good...

For the life of me I just cant understand how people can place BLAME on everything other than the individual! I simply just dont get it. She spread her legs to this guy (has two kids already) she gets pregnant,waits till due date (9 months= plenty of time to think) Then proceeds to blast a hole in the baby and kills him or her (not it) who to BLAME? desperation,insanity,the excuses are endless, It is what it is plain and simple,she murdered her baby! Counceling................. COUNCELING, Yep she can get that every day while she is doing her life sentence.

But she used abortion rights as her defense and she's NOT in prison for murder.

How am I offensive? Because I don't agree with murder? Because I don't have a lot of compassion for a murdering mom who not only kills another human for no reason BUT kills her own baby... a defensless baby... where was that baby's protector? Where were his/her defender????

I do not have compassion for murders... especially baby killers. You will not change my mind about this.

So your defending a woman, on her 3 child at 22, shooting her self in a stomach and then calling this pro-choice? It was her choice to behave irresponsibly.

Mental instability is not a choice. Why can't people understand that, beats me.

That excuse has been done to death in Australia, hence the lenient 3 to 5 year sentences for murder. If she is insane she should be sent to a mental institution and her remaining 2 children should be taken away from her..

If the man who knocked her up took her to the abortion clinic against her will and said it's his 'right' to kill that baby so he doesn't have to support him/her for the next 18 years is that his right?????????????????

What if he punched her hard in the stomach to make her abort... is it his "RIGHT"?????

...Not that killing babies is a good chioce.. but if they already use other choice like birth control and/or morning after pill I dont think they would have to choose abortion.

I would agree if you said "birth control pill, diaphragm, rubber (condom) and/or spermicide". However, mifeprestol ("morning after pill") is an abortifacient--so using it means the woman HAS chosen abortion, just a method which "looks cleaner" (actually, the possible complications of mifeprestol make it a WORSE choice).

Try to help me understand something, this compassion thing you got going here, lets just imagine a insane, desperate, person breaks into your house and blows a hole in your child! can you describe the compassion you would have for this poor unfortunate desperate insane person!

Point proven. Rather than looking at the details of this particular case, one is simply saying I am pro choice, period. Proven by the rape example..

Was she raped?

Did she have a choice to use protection?

Does she have any kids?

Is she 14 or 22?

If one is mentality unstable, why is she not in a mental institution?

No offense, and I am very sorry this happened to you, but it's perhaps a little easier to be so forgiving and understanding when the offending party is also dead. Would you be so compassionate and forgiving if he had killed your child but not himself?
