You dont have children do you.... I bet there is not one mother out there that cant say at times they have felt desparate and "come close" at some point in their childs life.... this poor woman Snapped and did an auful thing she has to live with that for the rest of her life... to condem her to hell just shows your total understanding of the difficulties that can be involved with motherhood....

I'm not with you on the "poor woman" part. My sympathies go out to the loving stable couples out there who can't have babies, and the single mothers who do what they need to do for their kids, the abused girlfriends/wives who take advantage of the numerous programs we have here in this country to help out, and the people who are responsible enough to take care of themselves and use the resources available to them to do so; not some crazy lady who took the chicken way out.

I have the two most wonderful and beautiful children on the Earth! I have rasied them completely by myself for most of their lives... it has been tough at times... still is... there have been times I have been so stressed out I didn't think I'd make it through the day much less the week... I have NEVER, however, thought about killing my children because of MY choices It's not their fault they're here... that was God's, mine and their father's doing.

I have NEVER come close to harming my children in any way! If I did hurt my kids because I was stressed out or snapped I would still be in prison for murder.. where I would deserve to be!

That's exactly why abortion must remain safe, legal, and available. Desperate women can do desperate things, but if you give them not so desperate choices you will lessen things like this happening.

I just had to point out, which is amazing to me, that the argument above which I bolded is the exact same thing I always ask people when we're talking about illegal immigration. Interesting how one can be so adamantly against something like that but so indifferent (and almost saying ok) to something that involves loss of human life-that to me is amazing. And I'm not singling you out here Kezzie-it's just your argument above that brought that thought to my mind-unless you've been there how can you possibly know? Maybe we should ALL keep that in mind from here on out.

But I digress. My point in responding to your post is to just clarify that Veiled Princess hasn't condemned the young woman to Hell, as that is not in her power, being only human and not God. She is saying that based on her belief system, she believes God will condemn the woman to Hell.

Without sparking a religious debate, my belief system states that in order for someone to be forgiven of their sins they must repent, believe, and be baptised. Which is still an option for this girl-she has a long life ahead of her. Which is why I clarified, but did not agree with, what Veiled Princess said. If there was no need for repentance and salvation, everyone would go to either Heaven or Hell, and that's just not the way it is.
