Interview and Required Documentation

Good afternoon Vj members...

So I am in my country's embassy website in the section for the required documentation for the interview, it lists the following:

- Interview Letter

- Our Birth Certificates

- Marriage Certificate

- Her Passport

- Police Certificate

- Her national ID

- One Passport Picture

My question is as follows,

Isn't this what I send in to the NVC after I pay my fees? Being that NVC forwards the paperwork to the US consulate and schedules the appointment? Or am I going to have to get another set of these documents for the interview?

Thank you in advance!

Packet 4 will tell you what documents you've submitted and what you will require to take to the interview.

This Packet has a checklist...read it carfully.

- Interview Letter

- Our Birth Certificates (You should have provided this to NVC)

- Marriage Certificate (You should have provided this to NVC)

- Her Passport

- Police Certificate (you should have provided one to NVC, but you need a current/updated one for the interview)

- Her national ID

- 2 Passport Picture

Hope this helps. ;)

:o OMG i don't have mine, and it'll take forever to get one by the time my cita date.

Wornout, yes you do!! It takes one day to requested it, she picks it up the next day, and then she takes it to get legalized!! you have 11 days to do this!! My wife got it done just in that sequence. Its $300 pesos for the BC and $200 to get it legalized!! Trust me it can be done!!

Wait, does the petitioner also need to submit their birth certificate? I thought that it was only the beneficiary who needed that. If so, then I need mine translated...hmmm. Please advise!
