My file was complete on August 10 Starting Tuesday, September 4, the NVC will be scheduling for October. I hope i get an October date but there is no way it can be guaranteed. They start where they stopped scheduling in August and i don’t know where that was. Each month every consulate tells the NVC how many of each category of immigrant they can accept. Staff vacations, staff quitting or transferring, American holidays, holidays of the country where the consulate is, special circumstances that apply to one consulate all this and more can affect the number of appointments that can be made.
