Hello all,

I have a few questions regarding which visa my new Brazilian husband should apply for. We are trying to plan a vacation in the US, though I will be trying to work a bit at the same time to finance our travels. He will be assisting me in giving dance workshops around the US and we will be performing dance together there as well, along with visiting my family in a few states. We would like to stay at least 2 months though we could stay up to 7 months.

Considering these points:

He is Brazilian, we were married in Brazil, and he has never been to the US before

His name will be on promotional dance flyers next to mine

He will be teaching/assisting me in dance classes

We will be travelling anywhere from minimum 2 to maximum 7 months

We will not have a permanent address during the time we are travelling, though we will be spending time with my mother in Dallas and my sister in Nashville.

Which visa should we apply for?

How long does this particular visa take, as we are trying to plan for travel in February?

What documents do we need to obtain the visa?

What is the process we need to go through to get this visa?

Thank you in advance for your help! I don't know where to begin!!!

So, the idea won't be to remain in the US, correct? Just to travel?

Good Luck.. The work issue will be a problem. The fact he is your new husband will be a problem.

A tourist visa will not work. Plus, you are talking about up to 7 months... That is a long time.
