So I was reading some reviews of the Montreal Embassy and I wanted to make sure that what I have is going to be good enough.

I have:

-2011, 2010 tax transcripts

-2011, 2010 W2s.

-Letter from my employer stating my current salary and position

-Paystubs from the entire 2012 so far.

Do you think this is enough? I've heard people with more or less and getting approved. Do you think this will be enough? The P3 only states the most recent tax return (2011) transcript.

Just wanted to make sure!

When I had my interview in Montreal I only gave them the most recent tax return, a couple pay stubs and the letter from my now husbands employer. I also gave them the I134. That was all that they asked for plus my police back ground check, a copy of the long form of my Ontario birth certificate. Plus I showed them 2 pictures. I had other evidence with me but none of it was asked for but I had it just in case it was asked for. Better to be over prepared then get the 221G for more evidence. I got the 221G because the local police department put the wrong date on my criminal back ground search. Other than that I would have been approved on the spot. Just an FYI when you go to the US consulate in Montreal make sure you stand as close to the back of the elevator as possible as you will exit from the back of the elevator not the front and the Consulate is on the 19th floor.

Yeah I did read to stand in the back of the elevator. Now I was there last weekend visiting him and we went Monday to get his police certificate. Its just a piece of paper that we filled out like an application sort of, that they just write that they verified he was clear on the CPIC or whatever? With a raised seal of the police department? Is that correct?

Sweet! Now, one more question. HAHA When you go on the CSC, you are now REQUIRED to pay the $240 Visa fee before you can schedule your interview? And also, if we schedule in the next week, are we able to schedule an interview out for November? We decided he wants me to go with him and that was the only time I could get time off to drive there to go.

I paid my VISA fee before hand as well one less thing to worry about on the interview date. It took me over a month to schedule an interview for Montreal and then somehow my initial interview was canceled without my knowledge. Thank god I was able to schedule an appointment for the same date but only in the afternoon. All you can do is if there is an interview available I would grab it and then try and reschedule for further out of necessary as time slots in Montreal go really fast.

Make sure to bring photocopies of the W2s (and everything else :) ) You never know what Montreal wants to keep a copy of. They keep the original police certificate, though.

when did you get your case complete email or letter and when did you then get an interview date and when is it? It is for Montreal right?

These posters did K-1 visas, not IR-1/CR-1, so their process is different. Their documents don't go through the NVC in the same way as an IR-1/CR-1 petition, and they sign up for their own interview dates instead of having them assigned by the State Department.
