How long after approval until NVC receives petition?

Our I-130 was approved at the Vermont Service Center on July 30; NVC still does not have the petition. I sent a scanned copy of the approval notice to NVC and received a reply email to wait 30-45 days.

Has anyone else received an approval from VSC at the end of July and NVC still does not have their petition?

It took us 37 days after our NOA2 to receive our case number from NVC.

See my timeline I feel your pain. What you need to do is call USCIS and immediately request a Tier 2 Supervisor. Then you ask them when your petition physically left VSC.

I got NOA2 6/29 and like everyone else I was calling everyday. When business day 15 hit still no received my NVC sent the NVCresearch emaik they said "we don't have it"

So sweet Darnell (A great guy I might add on VJ) instructed me to say what I just told you. To my surprise, horror and relief my case was still just sitting at CSC. The supervisor opened a service request to have my case immediately shipped to NVC. That was 7/27. It arrived at NVC 7/29 (sunday) and was recived on 7/30. I than was in the fun case# queue until 8/16.

So I would say call. You need to know where your case file is.

I remember reading somewhere on VJ to call USCIS and specifically ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer and inquire about the exact date it was sent to NVC. I did just that yesterday.

I called USCIS and the Tier 2 officer told me she does not have any information as to when my petition was sent to NVC. She then opened a service request with VSC indicating that NVC still does not have my petition. Since I called just yesterday, let's see what happens.
