Hello Vj,

I would like to hear some advice regarding with applying b2 while waiting on my k-1. My girlfriend currently lives in the Philippines and she wants to visit me in the USA.Is it possible?? What are the things we need to prepare? is there any financial requirements?

Btw, i worked at Delta Airlines and I have her on my benefits which she can fly for free. Is that a red flag?

Possible - yes. Likely - No

A young PI girl with a US fiance isn't going to be issued a tourist visa. Sorry

Unless she has remarkable ties to PI

Good luck

Strong ties would be a young child left behind, or a great job she must return to, or enrollment in university, or a business she is running etc.

Being a single young Philippina is a red flag by itself, as it having a US fiance.

If you have the money, give it a try- a denial wil not affect the K1 as long as no lies are told, so if you have the money, I say it's worth giving it a try.

Shes waiting for her noa2. So she has something to return too. So being her fiance is a red flag?

Being approved for a tourist visa for a filipino citizen is very difficult at best.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but having a fiance in the US is just another strike against her.

Also to consider will be the forms that ask if shes ever been denied a visa request before, ,,, then she will have to say yes,,, and then you all have to further explain... I'd recommend keeping it simple.

Being denied for a tourist visa has absolutely no bearing on the k-1 application.
