Im Canadian and want to go back home for a visit. I've seen some posts on here saying they needed to get a stamp in their passport before leaving the country. Is this true or am I ok just showing my perm resident card when traveling back to the USA? Want to make sure I have the right stuff before I leave!

Just bring your passport and greencard. Stamp is not required (and would be redundant - it serves the same purpose as the card).

Definitely don't need a stamp. I have gone back and forth to Canada twice since getting my green card (by land). They just asked to see both passport and green card and they looked at them and handed them back (though I think they scanned my green card in the computer).
