Hi all, I called the NVC today, they gave me a case number and said my case was already mailed it to the GuangZhou Consulte in China. But my Fiance is from Macau, and it should mail it to the Hong Kong Consulte, and I did put the request in the I-129F form. So what should I do now? Thanks for the help in advance!

Friendly bump to your post. I don't know with certainty what needs to be done, but maybe someone else can help.

either call/email the consulate in china explained everything to them...they should forward that to the correct location of your consulate of your choice. goodluck!!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

holy moly.

when you call into NVC, they give you an embassy casefile number.

what's the first 3 letters in the embassy casefile number, please?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

It is GUZ, stands for GuangZhou, but I contact both GuangZhou and HongKong Consulates, they need a letter and proof of Macau residencies, and the petition can re-send from GuangZhou office to HongKOng office.

well that's a plus. I wonder how hard it's going to be to get stuff into Guangzhou.

they don't do email attachments (hkg does)

maybe can email GUZ IV back, ask for a fax number to send off the ID TO ?

Thanks! Both US Consulates replied to me saying that I have to send the request and ID to HK office, and HK office will request my petition to send to them from GuangZhou office. And it sucks, because the notice I received from USCIS said my petition was sent to HK office, but I guess the people in NVC didn't read it well, they just sent it to GuangZhou office. I hope it won't delay that much, but I know GuangZhou office is actually slower than HK office to reponse, we will see then.

you might get stuck in the China Customs Warehouse for up to 3 months, before Guangzhou IV pulls the casefile.

Be Warned.

If it just left NVC, I'd be all over an NVC Supervisor,

to YANK the DHL Shipment, have it returned to NVC, then resent out to HKG.

DHL can return a shipment prior to it reaching China Border and China Customs.

If there's a hope , I say do it.

BUT - call NOW. Get NVC Supervisor NOW. Apparently they made a mistake (or theres more yer not telling us)
