Please be patient and settle in for a long wait. I know it sucks (A lot of us that filed in march got really hosed) but there isn't much you can do about it.

I'm hoping that the techies soon get things going at CSC, it would be nice even though useless to get a touch, non in the last 23 days. Not anxious too old for that, just curious as many others are, but we are too old for that too but still it would be nice. As far as the numbers go they will get better and then worse and again better and there is nothing to do, but remember that you are still closer to the end today than you ever were.

As it has been said many time before "Patience my A$$ I'm going to kill something"

Remember that the processing time is an estimate based on an average from people's data, and highly dependent on who fills out their timeline, subject to variation by outliers, and overall is just a rough guideline. With the latest batch of CSC-USCIS update problems and people only getting things snail mail (and hence not updating right away to balance 224 day outliers), it gets even more complicated.

A jump of processing time in one day is not a trend.

It's a little disheartening, but it doesn't really bother me to see the timeline go back into January for me. (It was as low as December 16th at one point.) When it happens, it happens. I try to look forward to other things besides approval, especially as we're so early on in the process that getting worked up over variance in a timeline seems silly. If it gets to January and no approval, then I'll probably get antsy.

Until then...

I wait. *shrug*

That's true

You also have to keep in mind that 120 out of those 224 days the application was just "gathering dust" in the corner of somebody's desk due to the IMBRA law that took effect 3 days before USCIS received it. I don't think your cases are going to go through the same wait- I hope! - since they already have a system and the forms required to comply with the new law. We've seen this already with the quick 2-3 month approvals coming from CSC. So please don't get discouraged by what the timelines say, hey I had mine saying that our case could be approved as soon as July for 3 months!

Yes, it can get way more depressing. I would say around the 5 month mark I got pretty depressed. Oh and by the way if you keep looking at the CSC processing times every day you are gonna drive yourself batty.

Timeline

Timelines on here are just a reflection of the input from members on their personal timelines. I know ours went from a November date down to Oct. 2nd, then back up again to Oct. 14th in the course of two weeks or so. I have gotten to the point where I just "oh well" when I see em. I spoke to a nice young fella at the Service center on the phone yesterday, and he just said "Keep an eye on the Service Center dates. They update them once every 2 weeks. Once your processing date is reached on there, wait 60 days after that if you haven't gotten a reply from us and call back. Woohoo :(

Mine went through very quickly, but bounced around from mid-December through mid-January for 'expected' times. Granted, VSC. But still, the expected times are still heavily skewed towards IMBRA.

Realistically, you should just keep the 6 month guarantee by USCIS in mind as your definite processing time. Thus, whatever you find on VJ is definately LOADS easier to take (it's easier to give and take a month or two!)... And the actual NOA2, an even better surprise which I have yet to taste.

No action or touches in over 2 months, meh :P

Some get approved with none at all so don't be stressing out about that.

Settle in and wait, it'll get there eventually.

As for the timeline thing, it's fairly inaccurate, so don't worry too much about that one either ;)

What a nice post! I joined VJ back in June and I remember so many couples like you just stuck and waiting. You always had a postive attitude here in the forums. Thanks for the gentle words for us still relatively new in the process. (F)
