Post office's error, Sent my package to a wrong Service Center

Hi Everyone,

So I sent my N-400 packet last 25th. This is the story about how the error happened.

I was in the PO and was about to mail off the packet with the Lewisville address because I intended to send it off express, but the lady said it wont get to the destination until Monday anyway, (all the while she already put in the computer the Lewisville address) ... I told the lady i will just then send it off to another address for a priority mail not express anymore so I purchased a new envelope and wrote the Dallas address and hand it over to her.

Now, I tracked the package and it hasn't arrived in DALLAS, so I called USPS to see what's going on, they said its on its way to LEWISVILLE. I was like.. You've got to be kidding me!

I called the USCIS to ask if I should go ahead and go to the PO so they can help me retrieve the packet so I can rectify the PO's error, they said, to wait for at least 10 days to see if I receive a NOA, and track the money order to see if it was cashed, then call they back after 30 days.

My question now is.... Is there anybody here encounter the same problem, and should I really be worried about this? Im seriously freaking out right now.

It's going to the same place. Dallas PO Box and the Lewisville street address are for the Dallas lockbox.

Alright. So no action needed then? The PO computer system recorded a Lewisville Zipcode, so does that mean it will go directly to Lewisville? or they will re-route it to Dallas since the envelope's address is Dallas?

Lewisville is Dallas. There are no two service centers, so I am not sure why are you worried?

I understand there aren't two service center. I meant to write in the title, wrong address.

Im worried that they will just put my packet aside, or not delivered, or not even returned to me. :( cos it does happen.

Maybe I'll just wait and check if the money order is cashed, then start from there. I sure hope this doesn't cause any problem.

What everyone is trying to tell you is that the two addresses go to the same place. Your package will arrive fine. Give it a few days - You only mailed it on Saturday. Today is Tuesday. You will almost definitely get notice of its delivery this week.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
