ok the Nigerain consulate recieved our i-29f package last Thursday.. Now while I'm waiting for them to send package 3 and 4 to my fiance.. should I send him the affidavat of suppport, letter of intent to marry, past 3 years of tax transcripts, letter from employeer and 5 check stubs now so he can send out as soon as he gets #3 & #4 have it.. Or am I to wait for package 3 because it may tell me to send these things else where personally.. I just need to know if he is to deliever or mail out from his home.. Or will they (consulate) want it directly from me...

Peace,

Chi

Since the Embassy has already received your file, if I were you, I would send them to your fiance right away; especially because of the possible delays in mail. Oh, and YES, you need to send them to your fiance so he can include that in P3; not to the Embassy directly.

Send ALL the required documents to him.... and he doesn't need to send anything to them, he will take them to the interview by himself

As long as you can track it, either should be okay. I would think a heavier package would be cheaper to ship through DHL, if it is documents under 1 lb., shipping through FedEx will run about 80-140 USD usually. Just weigh your package and check both avenues.

I know I should trust my fiance but I get nervous allowing him to put together the documents to take with him, he likes to rush himself and forget things. Wish I could just neatly organized the package and mail it to him.

I am preparing a folder with all the forms and mailing it, more like shipping it due to the heft, to my Fiancee. I even have filers inside the folder for her to repalce with stuff that she has such as her letter of intent. The prepared person lives nothing to chance.

This is the order that "I" am using. I found it off of the Brazilian Embassy website @ http://brazil.usembassy.gov/interview/forms-for-fiancee-visas/order-of-documents-for-the-interview---fiancee.html

YMMV.

PS: Yes, this is Brasil not Lagos, so some things on the list may not be appropriate.

Thanks family,, yes when i went to Nigeria this july and august. I took a 15 expanding, durable, custom file with tabs to lable . we went through all the evidence i orginally sent and labled and filed everthing. All that is left is the new evidence which i sent as attatchements so he can print out and my info for package 3.. I pray he goes over it.. and over it. Eventhough I know most people say "the officer never asked for a piece of evidence" I want him prepared.

Why is he waiting for packages 3-4 you can download them from the embassy website. Forms

ok but I thought waiting meant that he gets it then sends it back to the Embassy... Even if he downloads and fills them out.. He still needs to wait till he gets package 3 with the info and then send it back..right? I mean if he fills out the forms and sends them in with out being asked, will it go to the right department and then we get interview date .. or will they be just out there in limbo.. ok I'm confused :bonk::wacko::blink:

Its been a while. You download the forms , follow the instructions get police ,medical and such, they will email him the interview date about 4 months from now ( the interview not the email ) . You take all your stuff to the interview.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Not yet and I can't try my cunning plan to try to self book an appointment as Her Majestys Passport hasn't arrived yet from Abuja.

Did His Excellency receive anything yet?

An astute question.
