Ok...Papa had his medical exam on yesterday...He was asked if he had ever smoked cannibus... He told them that he has smoked in the past and that he had recently stopped (months). He is sure that he will pass the drug test as he hasnt been smoking. However, I am concerned with the question... do you think that this will hinder him from getting his visa? Please someone...this is driving me crazy...to come so far just to lose out. Please help me!!!! :crying:

There is a good possibility that your husband/fiance will be delayed up to a year before he gets another medical and his visa.

Situations like this are 'damn if you do and damn, damn, DAMN if you don't.' You admit to smoking weed recently and you are only delayed. You lie and the medical says otherwise then you may not get to immigrate at all. Lets us know what happens.

Well at least that gives me hope. A delay is better than a "NO". I am praying that there is no delay or anything of the sort. Thank you so much for that ray of hope.

No problem. Just to add the delay would be for a rehabilitation of sorts.

I would like to believe the delay is to wean your husband/fiance off the drug so he's more likely to be less of a problem in the US (buying & or selling marijuana) and get his system cleared of the drugs and see if he develops any health or physiological problems that needs to dealt with (before he's a threat to himself & others and or becomes a burden to US tax payers).

I never said that he is on any drugs at the moment. And the question isnt about his system being cleaned. But the question was if he has ever smoked cannibus; which he gave an honest answer to. I being, a homeowner, business owner for the past 13 years and a taxpaying citizen of the USA, do understand all of the concerns and would not uphold my fiance if he was continuing in that habit. Yet I am one who does believe in chances and changes.

Thank you again for your help with easing my anxiety. Your answer was very helpful.

Miracle, Love and Blessings to you and yours.
