Good Morning - received the hard copy of the I-797 (NOA2) and it says:

The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. It has been noted this is your second approved I-129F petition and as such, your information has been entered in a multiple visa petition tracking database.

Ok, my question is . . are they saying that I have applied before for a K-1 visa and was approved? This is my first time going through this procedure . . . should I contact the California Service Center and advise them of this or leave it alone? Thanks for your advise.

Vickie

I would look into it, it is possible someone used your information fraudulently to petition someone else.

No, they are not saying that you have applied for and been approved for a k-1 visa before.

They are saying that you have filed an I-129F petiton before which has been approved.

.....and I believe it has been noted that a person is only allowed to file 2 I-129F petitions in their lifetime.

I would call the NVC- that way you can have them explain it to you so that you have a clear understanding of what they have, and they have a clear understanding of what you've filed for. :)

Well I called the CSC and they told me that I will have to go on the website and set up a free appointment and then go down to my local office and discuss the matter. I will of course, I dont want this to impact anything and my name cleared. . . but just another step in this immigration process/procedure to add to the list . . .

you can expect a little delay @ NVC if that is the case, you need to make an info pass appointment on USCIS website and go talk to them. that should help clear things up

Info pass appointments have changed and seemed to have gotten more informative than they appeared to be in the past.

OMG, my fiance got ours on Friday and it says the same thing - yet he has never filed for an I129F before. Our petition went through Vermont.

We were wondering if it was because we included my children on the petition. However, their names are not listed on either the NOA1 or NOA2. (This is worrisome to me  ).

I was under the understanding that it was one(1) I129F for me and the two kids, and then three (3) separate visa applications at the consulate stage.

Also, it says that the petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate. However, there is no consulate listed anywhere on the I-797.

My fiance (the USC)will be calling them on Monday, but any thoughts, anyone?

Ok, I just made my appointment for 10/15 to go to the Detroit immigration office to inquire about the statement that this was/is my second petition when it is actually my first. Will let you guys know what they say . . . and maybe that is why it took NVC a month to send my petition to Kingston. :bonk:
