Hi guys,

Hi Socom, I have my interview next Friday, so maybe I'm not the most adequate person to give you advice, but I think those who've had theirs would agree with me when I say t: don't worry, be yourself and you'll be fine. The interviewers are looking for people commiting fraud, and those that aren't have nothing to fear. Be confident and answer only the questions they ask you, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Please let us know how it went, ok? wish you the best of lucks!

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

hello,

I had my interview already. I brought all the necessary documents needed for interview. You can go to hints and guide on what to bring for the interview.

The interview questions I had :

- what is your name ( wife & husband)

-where did you meet

- did he visit the country..how many times

-- do you have wedding pictures

Be also guided by the checklist on the appointment letter.

This site provides a lot of information on visa procedure.. just browse and read as it may be helpful to the questions you have in mind..

Good luck

Jan

hi!

we have an interview last friday, the 20th, and it goes smooth... the interviewer ask us to show our identity, so my husband give him his drivers licence, and my state id... after that he ask for my original birth certificate, my passport, my 194, working permit and the original copy of my husband income tax for the year 2005. he also ask me my parents name and how i and my husband met.... he also ask us some evidences that we are really married so we show him our marriage certificate, bank statements and our car insurance, that's all and after that he stamped my passport and tell me to wait for my green card..... just bring all the things that they required us to bring (stated in the interview notice) and am sure you will able to make it.... good luck and God Bless!!!!!

Hi Guys,

I went to my interview this morning and everything went just great. Just to remind you, my wife is a USC, and I over stayed my B-2 visa.

Here is what happened:

We got there 15 minutes early with our lawyer, and we had to wait almost for an hour.

1- The immigration officer was a young guy, very friendly. He swore us in and then got right into the questioning.

2- He asked me our current address and our former address.

3- He asked me and my wife our phone numbers.

4- He asked me about my wife’s parents, like their names, where they lived, where they worked and if I had visited them.

5- He asked my wife my parents names, and if she ever met them (they live in Brazil).

6- He asked my wife how we met, and what is our anniversary.

7- He asked me where my wife went to college and the nickname of the university’s sports teams! (Can you believe it?)

8- He asked to see passports, birth certificates, my wife’s paycheck stubs, my I-94 and EAD card. (which I just received 3 days ago.)

9- He went through the application packet, asked about our joint tax return, if we had any kids, if I was a terrorist, if I was ever arrested and so on.

10- He asked for the good faith documents, but didn’t really look through them.

11- He also looked at our photo album and took two pictures.

Then he approved our case! The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes. He said my green card would arrive in 3-4 weeks.

Thank you guys for all of the support and good luck for all of you in the future! :D
