Does this mean an interview, or not yet?

It's been 2 weeks now, and we haven't gotten any email. My husband called NVC last Friday and they said they couldn't tell us anything, we had to wait for the Embassy. It's Montreal Embassy though, and from what I understand they do not accept phone calls. My husband did try to call them on Friday anyway, but wasn't able to get through to anyone.

Looking at the timelines here, a bunch of couples who got their NOA2s after us, who were also going through Montreal Embassy, have had their interviews this month, or are scheduled this month already. So we are getting concerned. What can we do at this point, other than wait? Is there anyone we can contact to find out the status?

Don't bother contacting Montreal at this point; they know NOTHING about you as your case is still at NVC (and will remain so until after an interview date has been assigned).

Please remember, you CANNOT compare other timelines based on NOA2 dates. Everyone goes through NVC faster or slower than others. What you want to look for on others' timelines are case complete date. The rest before that doesn't matter. If those with NOA2 dates after you got through NVC faster than you, then they got a case complete date earlier than you, thus an interview date earlier. But if you start comparing case complete dates to interview dates being assigned, then you can get a general sense of where you are in the queue.

I've got a feeling that you'll be getting your interview date this week ;)

You do NOT get an email when your case is complete. Only those that did EP (electronic processing) get this email. For non-EP folk, the ONLY way you find out your case is complete is by calling an operator. Again, I repeat, non-EP folk, do NOT get a case complete email.

We are on a CR1 and got our case completed NVC email on Aug 17, and nothing since. When I call, they say we are waiting for the interview date to be set......

I hope we hear something soon..... this is torture
