I meant the OP, not you personally (looking back at my post, I used the wrong pronoun: my apologies). The OP is writing to the president after waiting for 3 months in a 4 year process. She needs to chill out.

Ah - thank you for the clarification.

I understand her point though - she's not saying she should be skipped to the head of the line. She just realizes that if the line doesn't start moving, all of our wait times get longer no matter where we are in the line. No reason she shouldn't speak up about an inequity that affects her as well as so many others.

NOA1 2/5/13 for AOS from K1

Biometrics 3/1/13

Posted

I'm not the May filer. I've been waiting over 5 months as it says in my signature. And I haven't seen my fiance in 18 months.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm not concerned for myself. I'm concerned for my 13 month old who has never met his father. It is - I'm sorry to anyone who can't deal with this - completely inappropriate to allocate resources so poorly that there are months of difference between the same petition & country. And yes I speak up to say so, since that few months is a big deal to a little baby waiting for his daddy.

Chill out? I didn't rant anywhere.

And as for stress from the rest of the process? I'm really not worried about that. I went through pregnancy, delivery, and baby's whole first year alone already. I can certainly deal with a little paperwork once his daddy gets here. I'm a pro at stress.

All I care about is getting him here. All I said was I shouldn't have to wait months longer than others - and neither should my baby - based on nothing more than the state we live in. I stand by that statement.

M

OMG girl I'm right there with you but he's my husband not fiance, and I've been away from mine for 4 months less. Stay strong and contact me if you ever want to rant!

Thanks for your concern mishka, lol... as I said in my email i could only discuss MY situation (which happens to be may) because i do not know anyone here or at VSC personally therefore I can't speak for them.. and how do you know I will only be waiting 4 months? My true intent was about the centers as a whole and the need for distribution of the files that are collecting dust at the moment.. the feb, the march, the april.. the few january.. if something isn't done we will ALL be waiting that long, or longer. Attention needs to be drawn to the situation in one form or another!!!

Cesar & Cata, you said what I planned on writing! lol!

I understand your concern, I’m just still warm out of this process and my fiancée just got out of her interview, please check my time line, and it was processed at CSC, this is an example, and that might make you chill out, and not to be angry, you will get NOA2 at the end of the 5 months processing time, or may be earlier. Aggravation and Anger can spoil your life. You are going to be ok, just be patient.

This is really a very dense discussion. To answer the multiple points of view would likely take several days and lots of words. However, I do wish to express very simply my point of view, beginning to express my sympathy to those of you who are in the VSC waiting for your case to be adjudicated. I was transferred to CSC (I130 I485 concurrent, request for my son) to supposedly achieve faster processing. I have been already waiting for five months and I can assure you that a high percentage of cases similar to mine has waited nine months to achieve a solution. So, why dont we unite and seek a comprehensive solution that achieves the acceleration of the processes in all branches of USCIS in a similar way. It seems to me that in this way we can make more converts to the cause.

I think this has had much participation and emotion behind it because or the hardship lived by those who are away from there loved ones.

I understand that adjusting status is very important to have a life in the US, but the main difference is that the person is already here, for better or worse. I for one know that if my wife were here all would be much easier, just thinking in plain $$ amounts. I am now supporting two households (plus travel to see her) and both have to maintain living quarters and housing responsabilities, where if she were here (even if she couldnt work), it would be easier on me since I would only need to fully maintain one household and we could divide house upkeep and all.

There is a need to ensure all immigration processes are brought to full efficiency, but the priority should still be on those families who are countries apart.

I don't feel bad for anyone who feels the best way to get ahead themselves, is by putting down others. Why the need to constantly point out that other people at CSC are being approved faster? Why must the success of others (june filers at CSC getting approved) bring you misery? Why not focus on the real problem, which is VSC processing petitions slower than their 5 month announced timeline? Why must you rain in on the parade of others? Or worse yet, call for other CSC filers' petitions to be held up so that yours gets processed ahead of theirs?

I wish all these "petitions" and "Letters" that people are sending to whichever official figure they're sending it to would just stop sticking to this awful suggestion that the only solution to this problem is that petitions be shared across CSC and VSC, so that EVERYONE gets screwed. Here's a thought, how bout suggesting that more adjudicators be assigned to I-129F's and CR-1's, so that EVERYONE will benefit? Heck, I'd venture a guess that's more likely to be implemented than the "sharing across CSC/VSC" suggestion, and yet that's not good enough for you guys? You need to feel that everyone needs to suffer the pain that you're suffering to feel justified?

Unbelievable!

/end rant.

It's not that we are not glad for them, it's just, we think "We would have been at CSC, we might be already approved" and it kills us. We don't want them to suffer. We just want EVERYBODY to get approved at the same moment ( not the same exact moment but at least with only 1 month of difference only, not 4!! Its just ridiculous that just because we are going to live in the east, we have to wait A LOT more ! Im sure people of CSC would feel like ####### if it would be the contrary.

And the suggestion about CSC and VSC sharing their task is just more realistic than adding (so maybe hiring) more workers for all filers. At least it would be more fair and equal. Sory but I think it needs to. Id understand if we would have said " We want VSC faster than CSC" but we don't that, we want equality, there is nothing bad in that. It's frustrating and we can't help to feel that way.

The petitions need to be SHARED between both service centers so that NO-ONE is processed before their due time. There is no reason why JUNE CSC petitions should be processed before FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL or MAY VSC petitions for the same benefit (K1, I-130). IT's NOT FAIR. PERIOD. I agree with the OP for writing the president or Janet Napolitano or whomever. The system is broken and needs to be fixed.

Yes, we all agree on that. The fix is the bone of contention.

Looking at the root cause of the offending service center is one of the steps to tackle the issue and not dragging an efficient service centers productivity down.

Personally I don't care how it's done, but it needs to be done. The other point is that they both work for the same people (the government) and obviously senior management isn't looking at their numbers (for both) and taking the required steps necessary to improve things. Plain sad. So if it takes a bunch of letters, emails, texts, FB posts, whatever to bring it to their attention, so be it.
