I would like to ask anyone with the same situation , On august 13 we called NVC and ask for information about our case status. They asked for the receipt no, petitioners name and birthdate and benefeciary as well. All the information were correct because they gave us our case number and to when the case were forwarded to the Consulate of Madrid. Right now still waiting for any notice if the consulate had recieved it or when they will send me the packet 3. (sent aug 13 from NVC to consulate) i emailed the consulate and replied that no case # in my name recieved and is incorrect and i have to contact NVC. I called NVC and the operator said the beneficiarys birthdate is incorrect and case # thus we have to send a copy of passport and wait for 20 days. Question: is it possible while waiting for the response of NVC and the consulate could send me the packet 3? Because i assume that they already recieved it its been 2 wks. Thanks

For us, it took aprox 20 days from the moment they received our case in Madrid to the day I got Packet 3. However, I see in your timeline that the Embassy received your case last Aug 17 ¿? If that's the case you are within the time range just be patient and you'll get it soon. My experience with the Embassy has been wonderful so far; they always reply to my emails very quickly, and answer all my inquiries.

Have you sent your passport, as they required, yet? I doubt they'll send you anything until everything is in order. Besides, I guess that, since they need to fix some incoherences with your case data, it'd be ok to allow a few extra days than the average.

Just don't panic; as long as you follow their instructions it'll be alright

Oh, thanksss. Now atleast i could relax and sleep well. Im just worried because everyone in the vj forum i read about the movements of the documents much faster than i thought. Yes, i already sent them a copy of my passport but no replies yet. The NVC told us they already sent the case at the consulate on Aug 13..before we knew my birthdate was incorrect. And i track the dhl it shows one package recieved on Aug 17, i just did assumed its ours since dhl takes 4-5 days only.. Hehe.. :innocent: ,

Can i ask u a question pls? about the spanish police certificate, do i need to have it translated in English? All my documents where in English since my country of origin second language is English already. And during visa delivery do the embassy courier ask for the delivery address since i will be moving out next month, i dont want it delivered here on the address i filled up on the documents.

Thank u so much. You are so very helpful.

You only need to translate those documents that are not in English, nor Spanish –in this case–; and I cite from the checklist in Packet 3:

'Todos los documentos que no estén en inglés o en la lengua oficial del país en el que se vaya a solicitar el visado, se deben acompañar de una traducción legalizada al idioma inglés'.

I believe translations into English are indeed needed for AOS tho'.

About the visa delivery part I'm afraid I can't help you yet, as I am waiting for the interview date myself. You can always email them and explain your situation. Seriously, they are always very helpful and will get back to you in no time.

You're going to love my reply: I emailed them  I was worry I wouldn't get the letter in time because the Post Office here is been working terribly the whole summer. They, very kindly, let me know the date for my peace of mind, and a few days later I got Packet 4 indeed :bonk:
