I am VERY confused about the whole process as different sites say different things. I have a lot of questions:

1) received NOA2 stating the case is forwarded straight to the us consulate in moscow (future wife is in Russia). Did it bypass the NVC? It says nothing of going to NVC.

2) What do I send my fiance? Every site says different things again.

3) When does she get the package of forms?

4) when should i send her package of forms?

5) can we schedule her medical a day before the interview?

6) Will they give her the visa right at the interview?

7) How can i check the status of everything?

She lives 500 miles away from the moscow consulate... I do not think it is tolerable to keep taking the train for 24 hours back and forth. Anyone who brought a russian bride in, can you please share what you did? Thank you everyone for your help! :(

The case should reach Moscow within about 2 weeks. You need to send tax returns, A letter from your employer saying you are employed how long and salary, pictures copy of your passport showing you have met in the last 2 years, As far as a packet, we emailed the embassy after about 10 days inquiring on the status and after about 3 more days they responded with a link as what she should do next. Pay the visa fee and schedule the medical and embassy interview. We scheduled her medical 2 days before the interview so we would be sure that she had the results in time for the interview. Ruzana was told her visa was approved the same day as the interview but it took about 9 days until she received it. They send it Pony Express. Moscow has also changed there policy and allow you to go to the interview with her, although it is not required if possible it would be a plus to be there with her. The best responses we got from the Moscow embassy was by emailing them.
