I'm getting ready for my interview for an IR2 adoption case in Philippines. My concern is my daughter BC. I have one that is on NSO paper but don't think it is the Long form. I think long form should show time of birth, and doctor name. My family in the Philippines say that is not so in adoption cases. My child BC just has "Certification of Birth" across the top, Registry Number, Date of registration, Child Name, child Sex, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Name of mother, name of Father, Citizenship of mother/father, Date and place of parents". Do you know if this is the only one the U.S wants? If not do you know where I can find out what BC the U.S wants. Even though everything has been completed by NVC I just don't want to get to the interview and they say I have the wrong BC.

Looking at my daughters BC 'Certificate Of Live Birth' both the long form and NSO show time of birth, doctors name.registry number, date of registration, Child Name, child Sex, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Name of mother, name of Father, Citizenship of mother/father, occupation, religion, date and place of parents, both have the same info. The long form info is used to make the official NSO form. The only thing I see different is yours says "Certification of Birth"

The NSO is the official document.

Now I do have Certificate of Live Birth which has Mother/ father occupation, religion on it, but it is from Office Of The Civil Registrar General and not from NSO. Was your daughter also adopted? and was your certificate of live birth amended after the adoption.

No she's not adopted (birth in PI) I was only comparing similarities in the certificate. The NSO is the official document, they go by for the interviews. Take 'all' documents with you (for the child) to the interview.

One thing I would do,contact USEM and ask.
