Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone (beneficiary) has had their security check returned for a second check. We waited over 3 months for the first one, there was a new interview after the police check in which a 2nd 221g was issued and my fiance (K1 Visa) was told to obtain a police certificate from Spain. (He is Moroccan. There is a Spanish enclave city he visited regularly.) Interestingly, we just heard that the Spanish police want to fingerprint him because there is someone else with his same name out there. I think this will be resolved once the Spanish police check returns and finds that he is not the guy who apparently did something wrong. What I am wondering is...do we really have to wait the whole time for the second security check to be done if we have proof that he had a clean record....

Any one experience or hear of anything like this?

I am not sure at all BUT

I'm really glad to see things moving with Spain. Great news. Good luck and I hope you don't have to wait too long. Keep us posted!

yeah..

we have had a bunch of security checks performed. once they clear.. a new one is ordered

our case has been lingering approaching 2 years now.
