Hi VJ members,

I've been conditional resident for almost two years, and now is my time to get ready to "remove my conditions on residence". I have printed out the I-751 form and I want to make sure I have understand the steps I need to follow in order to submit the form successfully since I will be filling out without the help of a lawyer or immigration attorney...

Background: Acquired conditional residence trough marriage to a U.S. citizen

Things needed to submit:

1. I-751 form (signed by my wife and I)

2. copy of both front and back sides of my gc

3. Evidence of relationship (I'm planning on submitting copy of our appt. lease, joint bank account, tax returns (filled jointly), health insurance coverage displaying both of our names. I'm also planning on having 3 people submitting affidavits sworn by people who have known both of us and have personal knowledge of our relationship and marriage. Can somebody provide me with a sample letter so I can show the people and they can have a better idea of what to write? What else should I submit?

4. A $590 check payable to Department of Homeland Security

I have to submit all the documents to the USCIS California Service Center. I know it says 90 days immediately before my second anniversary of the date you were accorded conditional resident status. Is the gc expiration date consider the anniversary date?If not, where can I find out my anniversary date? My gc expires on 2/28/2013 --- 90 days before will be exactly on 11/30/2012.. How strict is USCIS if I was to send my paperwork some weeks earlier?

My last but not least question.... I know that at some point that I will have to go to USCIS for the biometric thingy... what's the likelihood of USCIS setting up my date during xmas break? I'm planning to take my wife home (Mexico) for the holidays and I wouldn't want to buy the tickets and have to stay because of the appointment.

Looking forward to read your comments!
