What did you all think?

I was pretty excited by Sylar being with Molly and calling Mohinder. Now Mohinder will have to go back there and he can't bring Niki the cure for the virus!

Who do you believe about releasing the virus? For some reason I believe Adam (Kensei) that he wants to stop the virus, but I guess we'll see who's telling the truth.

It looks like Kensei's sword has some sort of protection against Peter's powers?

I'm bored by the whole Micah/Monica storyline there with DL's medal. TBH, I don't even care much to see what happens to Monica now.

Which two heroes will die next week? I think that Maya is a goner for sure, but who else?

I do believe that Victoria wanted it destroyed, but do we know that Adam was there to steal the virus so that he could release it as opposed to destroy it as he claimed? Why didn't Kaito have it destroyed if he was really on "the good side"?

I don't think Kaito was on the good side. He was one of the founders and the company is pure evil. I still can't stand the fact that Suresh turned on Noah but hopefully he will get what he deserves. I think Adam is out to destroy the world w. the Shanti virus. At this point I don't know who else to believe but I do hope Hiro & Peter can work it out b/c both of them will be needed to overcome this. I hope Monica & Maya dies there characters suck.

Well, we know for a fact that the actor who plays Sylar isn't in any more episodes after next week as he is filming the new Star Trek movie (he is Mr Spock). Whether they kill him off or not is another thing. Personally, I think he is too good a character to kill off but then I think his part is this season has been, so far, pretty poor. He doesn't seem to have done much, except find old Maya "oh noes I killed everyone!" and she is a waste of time too, imo. I'd be interested to see if she is a major plot point for the finale next week. Perhaps I'll be surprised. Or not.

Elle is just a b!tch and I hate her. But she is probably too good of a "baddie" in the writers' eyes to kill off.

My guess? Nikki and Maya.

I did think possibly Monica but I think her abilities are just too good to kill off. She could be an excellent character given time to develop further. Claire's boyfriend is another potential. When they say they are killing off two heroes next week it is often a minor character rather than a main one.

Oh and where on earth is Nathan? He seems to have disappeared entirely.

Of course, just like Jenn, my theories are often completely wrong!

the 2 heroes that die tonight were both introduced in season 1. I'm thinking that things don't look good for Sylar (what will I do!?

Good article I just came across....

These horn-rimmed glasses weren't half full, they were half empty.

The fate of Noah Bennet, a.k.a. Horn-Rimmed Glasses, a.k.a. the cheerleader's dad, on Heroes over the past couple of episodes summed up the average viewer's frustration with the show, which will air its fall-season finale tonight on Global and NBC.

Keep in mind, Heroes still is a very entertaining series. And picking on it has become trendy, largely because expectations were unrealistically high coming out of season No. 1.

Nonetheless, here are some thoughts and suggestions regarding the current state of Heroes. (Spoiler alert: If you aren't completely caught up on the series, go and get caught up right now, then come back and keep reading.)

NOAH BENNET (played by Jack Coleman)

When he got killed, we were impressed that Heroes had the guts to dispose of one of its main characters. That raises the stakes for everyone, right? But alas, he was dead for about five minutes. Hey, not that we necessarily wanted him gone, but it came across like a big, fat, chicken-bleep cop-out.

CLAIRE BENNET (Hayden Panettiere)

Don't like the romance with West (Nicholas D'Agosto). And what kind of first name is West, anyway? Fly away, son.

ELLE BISHOP (Kristen Bell)

One of the few new developments in the second season that works. Love this character's combination of playful sexuality and unstable menace. Easy on the eyes, too.

BOB BISHOP (Stephen Tobolowsky)

We're growing very tired of trying to figure out whether Elle's dad is good or bad. What's worse, we don't care.

MONICA DAWSON (Dana Davis)

Likeable enough, but her story-line is too isolated.

MICAH SANDERS (Noah Gray-Cabey)

Should be shipped off to boarding school, leaving his hot mom to parade around in skimpy clothing.

NIKI SANDERS (Ali Larter)

MAYA HERRERA (Dania Martinez)

Hands down, the stupidest character in Heroes history.

SYLAR/GABRIEL GRAY (Zachary Quinto)

The decision to tie this great villain to Maya was incredibly ill-conceived.

ADAM MONROE/TAKEZO KENSEI (David Anders)

As villains go, he's no Sylar.

HIRO NAKAMURA (Masi Oka)

Spent way too long in ancient Japan. The fun seems to have been squeezed out of him.

ANDO MASAHASHI (James Kyson Lee)

Has been reduced to a bystander.

NATHAN PETRELLI (Adrian Pasdar)

Same as Ando.

PETER PETRELLI (Milo Ventimiglia)

What's with his instant devotion to an Irish bar maid when he didn't even have the decency to get drunk first?

MATT PARKMAN (Greg Grunberg)

In person, this actor arguably is the funniest member of the cast.

But his increasingly annoying character always is in a state of selfish panic.

MOLLY WALKER (Adair Tishler)

Is it just us, or does she sleep a lot?

MOHINDER SURESH (Sendhil Ramamurthy)

His better-than-thou pontificating, not to mention his voice, is getting on our nerves.

After shooting Horn-Rimmed Glasses, he should have turned the gun on himself.

TO SUM UP

Heroes creator Tim Kring has been quoted as saying he made a "mistake" by taking too long to identify the main story this season.

But there was veiled condescension when he added, "We assumed the audience wanted season one, a buildup of intrigue about these characters and the discovery of their powers. They wanted adrenaline."

To us, that can be translated as, "I guess I'll have to dumb it down for you clods."

Kring is missing the point, though. In season one, when all the characters were new, his slow-but-steady approach was fine.

But in season two, when we know the characters already and we know how they connect, you can't just scatter them randomly all over the globe, and all across time, and slowly have them work their way back to each other again.

Different season, different rules. The audience understood that. It was Kring who didn't.

Without question, Heroes remains a step up from most TV fare. But we always are toughest on the ones we love.

I wasn't sad to see Nathan go, that is, if he's really dead (doesn't he have Adam's bood?). He hasn't really done much of anything this season. I'm wondering how exactly his death is opening Pandora's box, and who shot him, of course. My guess is Bennett. I think Maya had to live because her power will become more important. Sylar will get her next season. Oh, and I can't believe that Hiro buried Adam alive - doesn't seem like something he would do.
