Hi VJ Friends,

We are about to mail the DS-230 and got a bit of confusion regarding the documents to send.

I've read on one of the thread, the civil docs required to be sent along with DS230 are :

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s) (Not required from my country Indonesia according to the embassy websites)

So my questions are :

- The photographs, do I need to take a new one or is it ok if we just sent the first one when we sent the one at first packet?

For The birth certificate & Marriage certificate, trust this is the translated one, we have sent them the original translated one which is being certified at the first time we sent the I130, do we still need to send them again ? it means just the copy since the first original translated already been sent, is this necessary ?

Thanks all for your kind help.

Regards,

New ones I believe they have to have been within the last 30 days.

No at the I-130 you could send photocopies. At NVC all documents must be originals or certified copies. (The ectra photocopy is so at interview they give originals back and keep photocopy.

Regards,

Hallo Mba Mimin Rustin..i just sent the IV Bill and my case is complete now

for the photo, you need to take a new one because the photo is valid until 6 months

for the birth certificate and marriage certificate, i sent the original documents , along with the translations..yes you need to send it again..i asked the translator if they can send me a new copy with a stamp on it and they sent me a new one, but of course i have to pay again..since i already asked them before..they charged me for Rp. 60.000 Rupiah for both of them :)..i didn't send the police record to NVC ..

Good Luck

Haircuts and hair color tend to change, even for adults, particularly women. There's no need to guess at answers here. If you don't know, just wait until somebody who does know, provides the right answer.

I don't understand. Are you saying that as an adult, you needed to read something in a thread here before reaching a conclusion about whether haircuts and hair color change? Or, are you saying it simply didn't cross your mind or the mind of the author from whom you "were told that"?

Passport photos should reflect your current appearance. Other than that, unless they are dated, there is no specific time frame within which they must be taken.
