OK, I went to my B of A to get the requested information for the 1-134. I handed him a request for the date my act. was opened, total amount deposited for the past year and present balance, no problem, I would have the information in 2-3 days, cost $20 per hour, 1 hour minimum.

Well I got the stuff today, I got a bank statement for 1 month! Nothing else. Can anyone tell me what it took to get the required information? Go to the bank, call the customer service? Banks now days have very few people actually working in them so I'd appreciate any suggestions. :bonk:

Do you have pay stubs for the past several months? And your tax return and latest W2. This is much more current. Also do you have bank statements for the past 6 or so months. I won't sweat it by getting the one year totals. At least for the Philippines they accept what I mentioned in the first 2 sentences.

B of A should be able to give you a letter on its letterhead stating the date the act. was opened and present balance and then you can attach your monthly statements for the year and that should be fine.

I went in my bank and had a soda and piece of cake with the branch president while the letter was done up for me. I had already drafted it. But that is Vermont. Maybe move.

You can just attach 2-3 months bank statements and be done with it. The only thing they need is the summary page showing deposits. Bank letters are optional.

I don't beleive the Bank statement is important unless you're using Cash to meet the Affidavit of Support requirements.. Otherwise, you can print up your most recent statements from the online service or simply go with most recent ,hard copy bank statements..

If you're using income to show you are above the poverty limits, paystubs, IRS Transcripts or Copies of your returns, and a letter from your employer should more than show the required proof..

when you go back to BA on Monday,

ask for the Branch Manager.

Then explain what happened, remind him/her that you not receive what you asked for.

Should not be a 2nd charge, as the first human that 'helped' you got it wrong.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks all, Darnell that's what I plan on doing. I'm self employed and I need to show savings because my taxable income is too low. The frustrating part is a lot of my income goes to pay for my home and I get to write a percentage off which brings my taxable income down below the leval I need. It's hard because my home will not cost me any more having my fiancee living with me! My gross is way over but after expenses I fall short. I have saving to more then cover the shortfall.

Part of the problem is they just don't do much inhouse at banks here in Calif. anymore so they can run the branch with a small crew.

It says on the stuff they sent me I can get 18 mnths of info on line, I really just need to get something that says when I opened my account!

I have three years of tax transcripts so I have the rest covered I think.
