Hello everyone. Yes there is indeed some kind of ovelode. As of August 2nd I was out of normal processing time and they apologized for the slow process. They had just began processing february 16th filers. That was from California service center. They just emailed me after I did a service request for being out of normal processing times, that said it will be within the next 45 days before we hear Anything. So they seem to be filled up with cases there. There are people ahead of others who filed way after them. So just hang in there while they do their thing. Prepare for your next step before it gets here.

I live in Missouri and there is a service center here that's what I was told and was shown where the building is at but when I filed mine I was trying to find it on the USCIS website but couldn't. Anyways don't panic I'm sure it's not lost or anything as long as there's a case # issued they can always track it.

The Service Center in Lee's Summit, MO is referred to as the National Benefits Center. Back in 2006 and for a few years before that all I-129F petitions filed for spouses of US Citizens were adjudicated there. They primarily do various other things now, including EAD applications and whatever they are needed for. I think the Green Cards are actually produced there. If cases are being transferred there to be adjudicated, it's a good thing.

No. CSC sent it to MO to be forwarded to my local office (DC) because my husband and I got married WHILE he was in immigration jail awaiting voluntary departure with safeguards. They didn't want to approve it without a "stokes interview." Anyway, I went to local office on an infopass and cried to the clerk who got the supervisor who put in a service request. 4 days later I got an RFE for our daughter's birth cert (I couldn't get it signed by my husband until he was back in his country because he was in immigration jail when she was born). I sent it back and it didn't hit my folder by the evidence deadline of 8/9/12. So, thankfully I made an infopass for 8/10 ahead of the deadline and was able to hand the officer our daughter's birth cert same day. We were approved the very next business day.

When mine was transferred I got a notice on 4/25 that said "your file is being transferred" (which meant it was in MO). On 4/27 I got a notice that said "your file has been transferred" (which meant it was a local office). That's what that means.

The OP didn't mention a "local office" and at this stage of the process, transfer to a local office would be quite rare. Let's just see how the OP answers rather than speculating.

No worries. Just adding my two cents as I've been through this exact experience with cases being transferred. Sorry.

Your case was transferred to a local office. We have no idea whether that is anything close to the exact experience. It's just a transfer. Please don't speculate or exaggerate. There's no need. The OP can answer for themselves.

Wow. Why are you being rude? She is having a problem, I'm just adding my two cents. How is there so much harm in that???? How is my sharing my story (which, I thought this is what this website was for) going to affect her case?? I mean, please... tell me.
