My husband said it mentions Missouri???? I havent seen anyone else mentioning that,so Im a bit freaked out. I cant find processing times or anything.

I do believe that Missouri is the National Benefit Center and it will be forwarded to another office from there as the National Benefit Center does not process petitions.

I believe missouri is the location of the "USCIS National Benefits Center".

I hope this can guide you in a direction that may help resolve your inquiry.

Definitely inquire as it could be a mistake. However, service centers do load share from time to time and USCIS just got a flood of new deferred action applications to deal with. CSC sent a big batch of I-130's to TSC a couple years ago too. It happens.

OK thanks guys,

I'll get my husband to call tomorrow......I hope we haven't 'been lost' already

Jeez, haven't been doing the process for 20 days yet and I'm stressed already!!!

Try to have your husband involved in the process as much as possible....makes it easier if both of you are involved especially when you get transfered to NVC.

Can I ask what lockbox did you send to chicago or Phoenix? Also some have been sent there but than sent to VSC or CSC. But things chnage all the time. But do call first thing monday morning find out whats up.

And I have to LOL noit at you but remembering the beginning and the stress and craziness. You will have alot of these "moments" so just buckle up. Just wait until you get NOA2 and come to NVC. Be ready for starts and stops and ughhhhhhh. But oh what a ride.

First, relax a bit. Very often paperwork gets shifted around from place to place for no particular reason. Although we did a K1, my wife's paperwork went from Chicago to California to Missouri. In the end it all worked out ok. Just the way it is. Secondly, relax a bit.

Hi Lynndy,

The same thing happened to me! First, an email says file is en route to Vermont. Now, the I-797C letter states petition has been transferred to Lee's Summit, MO. At the bottom of the letter there is the Vermont Service Center address. It's not clear at all, but it seems maybe the file has to go to Missouri before it gets to Vermont. When I check case status online, Missouri is not an option for selecting an office. So, if Missouri is not a service center, I'm guessing maybe it's just acting as a holding place for now because Vermont is full. :(

Best wishes,

Treva

Thanks for the replies guys,

We sent the file to the chicago lockbox, I will get my husband to call tomorrow to just make sure there hasn't been a mistake. He's really involved in the whole process, besides sometimes American folk can't understand my Yorkshire accent so its best he calls anyway!!!

Im sorry the same has happened to you Treva, maybe it is just because both Vermont and California have a huge workload on right now? Although I would have thought there would be more of us on here being transferred?

Its funny, although Im only at the beginning of the visa process my husband and I have been together 4 years so it feels like we've been doing this a long time!!!
