time processing for NOA2

Hello everyone...My questions concerns for my little sister who were under CR-1 spousal visa,What i know is they filed petiton may 2012,then after 3months my little sister was told by her husband they can have their medical,was it possible that NOA2 may take only for 3months and may already have their case number at NVC?how much will be the fee for visa and medical?is it separately paid for the child and wife?Will they need to pay visa fee first before taking medical?Hope to see your shared answers in regards to this..thank you.-Mavs

01/07/15.....Received my EAD card

01/31/15..... I got my SSN from the mail

04/20/15......AOS Interview - Approved :star:

4/24/15 .......Got the Driving Permit Card

4/30/15 .......Green Card Received :) (Exp.4/20/17)

Yes, that is true, they can have NOA2 already. I am seeing many from California service center now being approved in less than 3 months.

The petitons for CR-1 and CR-2 are separate petitions. They will have separate case numbers. The fee is $230.00 for each case.

It is not mandatory to pay the visa fees before doing the medical exams as long as the beneficiarys have their case number already.

However, I would not advise doing the medical exams so early. It can take 1-2 months to finish the process at NVC and get assigned an interview date which could be another 1-2 months.
