I'm preparing the cover letter to send the AOS and EAD, and I'm not sure about this:

I'm the non US citizen, so I'm called applicant and beneficiary? And my husband, who is the american citizen, is called the petitioner?

I'm confused, since I'm filling out all the forms (except the Affidavit of support), in this case, although I'm not the US citizen, am I called petitioner since I'm filling out the forms?

Last thing, for the AOS process they don't need any copy of passport, birth cert, photos, etc. from the US citizen, right?

Thanks, but I'm getting very confused ......maybe 'cause I'm preparing everything to send to Chicago..........

Hi! We have the same anniversary! Congrats :)

You are the beneficiary as the non-USC, even if you're the one filling out the forms. Just make sure you read everything carefully and don't panic!

I just sent my packet last week so I'm not an expert, but hopefully things will work out smoothly for everyone.

Good luck!

daphne,

You have it right in the 2nd sentence - if you are filling out an application you are the applicant with respect to that application. (You will always be the beneficiary of the petition(s) that your husband submitted way back when to start your immigration process.)
