My fiancee's father's first name is twenty letters long which obviously doesn't fit into the box provided. How do you deal with long names on immigration forms?

Attach a separate sheet put # of the question and on the form say see attached sheet. I had long address and my husbands work name. It was a full extra sheet.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Have you tried writing it? It's completely acceptable to do that and maybe you can get it to fit into the box.

It would be nearly illegible given the small box.

Thanks!

Do as dwheels suggested, then. Add a supplement page and make sure you sign it.

You know what was weird I used the "expandable " G325A a VJ member had mentioned and the dang address was still to long for that. Its one of those kind of address where its dirrection the house behind the compund on the left side of. OMG but hey it all worked.

Thank you Celeste & C. Forgot to mention to sign the attached sheet.

I'm in a similar situation! Having kept my last name but as a middle name in addition to my original middle name. It won't fit in the box when I'm electronically filling out the form but I could easily fit it if I write it by hand.

Is it acceptable to electronically fill out the form and then handwrite the one section once I've printed it?

Thanks for the help!

Depends on the form. If you are also speaking about the G-325A, then yes.

Is it okay to type the other information and handwrite the other ?

As I answered another poster right above this post, it depends on the form. If it is not one that gets submitted electronically, such as the I-129F or G-325A, then yes.

How To Fill Out Form I-129F

1. Type or print legibly in black ink.

2. If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, write your name and Alien Registration

Number (A-Number) (if any), at the top of each sheet of paper, indicate the Part and Item Number to which your

answer refers, and date and sign each sheet.

Ah Ok, my understanding before is that if you are going to type, everything should be on typed and if you like handwriting everything handwriting too...

and not going to mix it ...

Yeah I'm talking about I-129F and G-325A.

Thanks for your reply.

Nah, perfectly ok to mix them up. So long as everything is legible, it is all good.
