Anyone here ever had any luck with expediting an australian police cert? My fiance and I recieved our NOA2 in just less than 3 months..... good news right?!?!.... well almost... I am sending in all our info and fingerprints to Australian Federal Police on monday, and the estimated wait time for processing is 30 business days.... so 6 weeks.... it kind of puts us back on the old schedule :( ... anyhow I was wondering if anybody has requested police cert from Australia, and if it came quicker than 6 weeks or if they managed to have it expedited by paying a higher fee.....

thanks in advance for any responses!

Call them and explain your situation, they will send it out ASAP.

i called and explained my situation about marrying my fiance and i didnt want to spend anymore time apart from him. And he said i should write a note to him saying ATTENTION : his name. So when he recieves it ,, it would go straight to him.

Then he recieved the App and i got the National police check based on fingerprints the same week. Give it a try.

I must admit, that this is way better news than I expected..... I will call for sure... thanks so much for your responses!.... It's funny in a way because I am an optimist ... I try and keep a good attitude towards things no matter what, even if my frustration gets the best of me at first I settle down and my good attitude returns... In this situation my attorney told me to expect 5 months minimum and likely more... I had accepted this as fact and was ready to deal with it and instead our NOA2 arrived and our application was sent through NVC to London embassy in less than 3 months... before I had even been able to make arrangements for police certificates etc (we needed 4 of them:Poland, Italy, Australia, and UK)... so suddenly after we got NOA2 i felt that we would still need another 2 months because of Australias time frame.... But optimism pays off once again!!!!!! Thanks again for your responses..... This is great news!!!!

Hey,

Was just wondering... did you have any success on the police check coming through? How long did it take? I'm in the same situation as you.

Thanks,
