I'm getting all of the evidence together for the Affidavit of Support, my question is: Will the last 3 years of return transcripts do or should I include my W-2s as well??

Is one better than the other or are they essentially the same thing.

Appreciate you help, Thanks

The transcripts take the place of the W2 and tax return copies. Include recent pay summaries and employer letter.

So I wont need to worry about last years W2? I have my employment letter and am going to include 2 of my most recent pay stubs.

Thanks again.

Right...So what exactly is needed for the affidavit of support? I was reading the instructions on the i-134 and it states the items I needed to include for my fiance were a letter from my employer, a letter from my financial institution including my current balance and the total deposits for the year, and if I was self employed, a copy of my tax return, and if I had bonds to include their serial number.

Is there something I'm missing?

If you have tax transcripts you do not need the W2 for that year. You would only need to send your W2 if you were sending them your tax returns, not transcripts. USCIS always prefers transcripts.

No problem! Getting that info together would be a nightmare, the IRS actually makes this easier for us! They don't take long to order either. :)
