It is very tricky and is a mess that, once unleashed- its hard to tame. I think is easier if your girlfriend calls a lawyer here. Once you alert the US Embassy in Cairo your intent to marry, it may affect your student visa. Again, I'm no expert, but remember Egypt is one of the top immigration fraud countries. You already have that against you as it is, unfortunately.

Do you have family in the US? Did you tell them you had a USC girlfriend?

It will definitely be better if the OPs girlfriend calls to ask questions imo. This is what I was talking about in my earlier post. The way the OP states the situation, he will either have to lie about the intent to marry and risk USCIS finding out how they met, or disclose the intent/marraige and risk the student visa being denied or revoked. My thought is that fraud will cause more grief than disclosure, and both options will probably require separation, based on what the OP is posting.

Good point. Like I said, is better if they come here and then marry. This is not a "Less is more" type of situation. I suspect he already disclosed that for his student visa and therefore he's going through the lengthy AP.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

I agree. If he already disclosed that he has been living with a USC that he intends to marry, and he gets the student visa anyway, no harm, no foul. I would guess though, that if anybody actually read that he intended to marry the USC in the application it may cause questions, if not a problem with the F visa. If no one asks, he will be covered when he applies for a green card later (just save a copy of the application disclosure).

I dont have any family there, And I didnt tell them I had a USC girlfriend. My dad is an Ex-diplomat for the ministry of foreign affairs though. Could that work for me? My class is considered upper class in egypt, Dont they take that into account? we arent some random people.

Your class or political position may or may not factor in. But that's beyond the point. Have your girlfriend call a lawyer in the US for advice.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.
