I would take everything you can. Take the original's of everything, pictures, a complete AOS package in-case they want copies, your passport with the I-94, new information (bank account, health insurance, car insurance, lease/mortgage agreement). Take anything and everything that you can that will help you get approved. Good luck with the interview.:thumbs:

Hi Ali,

I also have my interview soon (this Friday) and I decided to go ahead and follow the instructions on the AOS interview date form, meaning that I'll only bring with me what they are requesting. Where it says "(unless already submitted)" I'm not going to bring either my medical exams and vaccine supplement (which I sent sealed) or affidavit of support (although my husband is bringing his tax return for the last three years just in case). I made a copy of my I-94, so that I won't have to give them the original, although I had already sent a copy with my package. I have plenty of proof that my husband and I have known each other for over 4 years, including letters I sent him, pictures of the times we visited each other and our current telephone bill, health insurance, etc. I'm a little anxious about the whole thing, but I know that these guys will be looking for fraud, so you and I have nothing to be worried about. I wish you the best on your interview, and please let us know how it goes.

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

alibaba,

If you are approved for adjsutment, without having to wait for FBI clearance, they will keep the I-94. You won't be needing it any longer.

If you want to take the least amount of documents by all means do so. Do what ever you feel is right we only give you advice.

You do know that USCIS splits up packages and they go to different offices for different things like EAD or AP. USCIS loss a lot of papers and documents. A lot of people get RFE’s for things that they have already sent in. Like my wife’s AOS we sent the BC, we got an RFE for a BC and this happens to a lot of people. I personally would feel better going as prepared as I can in-case. Because I would not want to miss work another day and go for another interview but that is just me. And there has been a lot of horror stories right here on VJ.

Good luck,

We were asked for a couple items during our AOS interview that were NOT on our list from the interview letter. I would take copies of all paperwork just in case. I have read of a few others on here that encountered this same thing and were not prepared. There were approved conditionally until the info was received. In the end, you can make up your own mind. But, we did not want to take any chances.

I agree with you and you are very correct. I have read the same things.
