Kristina,

I am so sorry that the tactic of offering to move there to Jamaica to be with him didn't work out in the best possible way. Part of me was hoping that he would turn around and be impressed that you would be willing to do that to be with him and he would turn loving and rational again.

At least you have more information now about what he wants and his character. Take care of yourself...

I am so happy i found this site. I filed a petition for my fiance for a k1 visa. Recently i have been having doubts about him being genuine. Now that his interview is coming up, he is acting very strange,he always starts argument with me for no reason. He even made a few comments about he doesn't need me bugging him anymore and he will soon get his visa so he doesn't have to deal with me bugging him. We met february of 2011 and I know that he has applied for about 7 tourists visa, all were denied, is this suspicious?. I don't know what to do, my sister told me i should end things before he commits fraud. What can i do at this stage? How do i know he is planning fraud? Thanks.

My fiance is under the ten year ban, so if we don't get an I-601 approved, we have to wait until 2018. When I said, if they turn us down, do you want me to move to Honduras, he said, 'Yes, I just want us to be together.'

Also, at the interview, they are pretty good at figuring things out. If they turn him down, don't fight it.

He seems to know "alot" about what you have already signed and promised to the US government and to be frank, I'd burst out in tears before I'd even give one thought to what's the contract between a US government and the US citizen had I been in his shoes. The only time he gets to have a say in this matter is at his interview, and for some interviews, the decision was made beforehand based on the documents you provided - or didn't provide, the interview is a formality. So he's welcome to go to the interview and explain just why it is that his ex-fiancee officially withdrew the petition and not willing to sponsor him, and that HE was not interested in being together in home country.. Of course, after 7 tourist visa denials. But again, probably more peace of mind if you know he'll be staying in his home country.

Ok how will i know when the case is closed?

The top of the letter put in NVC, USCIS etc.

Address

PLEASE WITH DRAW MY PETITION. (NO explanation is necessary).

You need to write 3 letters send certified mail return receipt. Notarized isn't a bad idea, but I don't think it's necessary.

You simply say "Please with draw my petition" and then the case number.

1). To the NVC,

2) USCIS, and

3). Embassy of the country of the petition.

Include your name and address birth date. His name address and birth date.

Send all 3. The Embassy USPS doesn't send return receipt. If you leave any thing out in the above your letter will be returned and the case will stay open. I have first hand experience.

Coming to visit and living there are two different things. I dont think your fiance telling you why living in jamaica isnt ideal is a red flag. Anyone else who says that their fiance would have acted differently is being delusional, because if that was the case why would any of us put ourselves through this stressful process.

I actually did this to my fiance. Last year I lost my job and started a new one that wasn't great. I spoke to my fiance we were going to apply for an I-129F then but I told him that if he wanted I would move to Chile. He was so thrilled. He told me he was only coming to USA to be with me and if I was moving to Chile he would be really happy but only if I was 100% sure that is what I wanted. I moved there but couldn't find a job after a few months we decided it would be best for me to come back to NY and to apply for the I-129F. Granted that might not be all fiance's reactions but I think they would want whatever is best for the relationship. They wouldn't automatically deny and find a million different reasons why going to USA is a must. I feel they would think about it talk rationally. Unfortunately I think OP's fiance is only after a visa into the USA which is really sad bc he isn't only hurting the OP there is a child involved.

OP I wish you the best but I think your gut and you heart both know he is a fraud. Good luck with everything.

My Fiancee would be ecstatic if I moved to the Philippines. Actually that is the plan once I retire in a few years, we're both 40+.

My wife would have been thrilled if I had moved to Ukraine. She is OK here now too. I think it is all about who you are with, not where you are. We are married over three years and have a child. Speaking from that perspective, I find it weird that the OP's man puts location first, family after. No judgement at all mind you, but something to think about.

Thank you for your reply, Can i withdraw my petition? What if he gets approved for the visa and come to the US?

If you have serious questions about him, tell him. Be honest with him. You are about to make the plunge after the interview (If he makes it passed the interview). You are seeking our advice, but it is you who will be living with him. Make absolutely sure you are doing the right thing. The only way to be sure is ask him what his intentions are. Good luck!!

First thing is you filed a K-1, so I-864 doesn't apply. Only the I-134 which is not legally binding like the I-864 is. If he get's the K-1 visa it only gives him a single entry visa to the U.S. with the requirement that you marry within 90 days. Afther that you file to adjust status to a conditional permanent resident status (2 year green card)

It's your call, but the fact he has applied for 7 tourist visas, and was denied, sounds like he is more interested in coming to the U.S. than being married to you.

Best bet is to contact the consulate in Kingston, and tell them you are no longer wanting to continue with the process. Better to find out now than later.

This is the voice of reason. Please listen, do what Karee suggests and do it now.

My opinion is based on my experience....His intention is to take advantage of you to gain entry into the USA. Drop the petition ASAP!
