NVC has forwarded our information/paperwork to Guangzhou Embassy since 08/02, wondering how long do I still have to wait for an interview date. And I did not do EP, instead, we did paperwork, thank you!

3 to 6 months . If sooner, go burn some joss at the temple, as the SAFEFILE Gods blessed you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Welcome to the forum.

Darnell is right-on. Review the VJ GUZ consulate info page for info. GUZ is still doing paper-only for K-1/K-2, no EP, here is the GUZ IV website. Another good source is prior recent postings at the China regional forum.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Thanks, Darnell, 3 to 6 months is a long wait. I hired this lawyer and I mentioned about EP to him, he basically just said it's not a workable way of doing it. (Hired a lawyer was my worst decision ever, and I found this website after I hired him). Anyways, I asked him how long does it take to get an interview date, he told me 3-4 weeks. So what he told me wasn't true?

This lawyer does not want to be bothered and every time when I questioned, he would just cut me off in the middle of the conversation. That's why I am very frustrated right now and trying to get as much resource/help as possible from this website. Thanks a lot!

The mailing time to Guangzhou is incorrect. Mine was delivered in one week time, so I think they have relaxed the customs game. Scheduling an interview is another story. That is workload dependant and I think right now out about 1-2 months. Also see Darnells short cut trick for package 3

Don't forget the SAFEFILE Genie.

It's still on the GUZ IV Human to decide to utilize the SAFEFILE version of the casefile (solely) or to wait on that queue coming out of China Customs. Though, fwiw, that's been for K-1 visas.

What is the "SAFEFILE"? Does it make the progress go faster?

1-2 months, I hope that's really the case! I think I am done with the package 3 and now waiting for the package 4 (for interview info)? Since I hired a lawyer and he's not informative, I am not sure with how exactly the process goes...
