Hi there! My fiance interviewed for his K1 visa in Manila on June 22, 2012. Everything went well, but the last CO issued a 221g which said we need to submit proof of current sustained income. They kept all of his other paperwork and his passport. I compiled appropriate documents and my fiance sent them via 2GO about 4 weeks ago. We never received any letter, e-mail, or other notification that they received the documents and/or are reviewing them. My fiance went to 2Go, where he was able to confirm that it was delivered, but we still received no word from the Embassy. Does anyone have any idea how long we will have to wait or how we can find out what's going on? We've been in this process a while and it's getting tiresome. On the embassy website, it says if you were issued a 221g, do not contact us...wait for us to contact you. Okay...but it seems that we at least deserve confirmation that the papers are being looked at by someone. Advice? Similar experiences?

My wife had her interview in Manila July. We didnt know we needed an I-864A. BUT, they kept her passport, and had her fill the courier service sheet where to mail her VISA. We sent in the I-864A the next week and here it is September 1st, no word, no message nothing other than wait wait and more wait. Why do I say this? Their words were "send it in asap, thats why. This wait time is amazingly slow, whats the hold up? Look up the definition of the word patience in the marriame/webster dictionery, it might help all of our situation. I have heard if her officer said everything is fine, just send the form, fill this courier sheet out and send in the that form back when you have it, then keep the passport, you are approved, there must be a ton of people to process and interview.

I would suggest calling this number as it has been the only one that I have gotten good accurate information on. +63 2 301 2000

:angry: This thread makes me a very sad panda :(

We had to wait for Hong Kong clearance and that was sent to the embassy two weeks ago...we were hoping that after that we only needed a few day wait but this post is making me think it may be a month or more

Embassy -> :bonk: <- me

we just got our visa in the mail via 2go yesterday.... our interview was on 30 july, the requested documents were received 3 aug, then it was reviewed until delivery to our door on 5 sep.... total turnaround time from submission of requested docs to visa in hand about 6 weeks... of course, timelines might differ based on the type of documentation being 'reviewed'... for us, it was a different copy version on a CENMAR and a CENOMAR... hope this information is helpful to someone, as calling USEM is usually a frustrating, time consuming, and fruitless endeavor.
