Its appears all I-129F apps mailed to NEB (NSC) are now being auto forwarded to CALIF (CSC)

The CSC is currently taking approx 6 months to review new I-129F's.I have heard that when NEB forwards the I 129F to California, they go to a satellite processing location for the CSC located in Van Nuys, CA and therefore it does not take as long.

Can anyone kindly confirm or deny this ? I would truly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks

Who knows how they go about processing, only they know it. It would be fair to process petitions according to receipt date, but it seems this is not followed since there are still several Feb., March, April, May petitioners without approvals and there are many June, July, August filers approved. Who knows

This seems to come up every now and again every few weeks.

I think there's a double misconception with Nebraska and Texas and their processing times. Firstly, there are some of us, like myself, who switch over from where we originally sent it to California, since that is where our processing is actually taking place. Others leave theirs at their original locations. So there is a bit of a discrepency there. I've thought that maybe some of the reason for the difference in times is hold-over from earlier in the year before IMBRA where things were moving faster at some locations. No idea really though, I haven't a clue how it's all calculated out.

I hadn't heard about a separate location for processing the transfer applications, though. Where did you hear about it?

Both the Texas and Nebraska service centers are no longer processing I-129F's although you are still suppose to forward your application and documents to the appropriate center for your area.

As far as the CSC farming out work, I would be careful about suggesting this unless you have definitive proof. At the end of 2002 and into 2003, the CSC had subcontractors handling some of their workload. In an effort to cut down on the backlog, the subcontractors began to shred documents and applications. This came to trial just as I was applying for a fiancee visa the first time. My attorney's office assured me this was under control now.

There was a huge shakeup in the CSC office and some of the subcontractors got to spend time in one of our concrete walled institutions.

I don't think that is likely to happen again since the USCIS doesn't like having congress on their back all the time.

ok. maybe i should change my timeline, coz i sent to nebraska

and received NOA1 from california.

my first petition last year was nebraska all the way i think.

as far as CSC speeding up processing and the differences in

who was first, i think they throw the petitions up in the air

and then pick them with darts.
