Hiya Treva, well thats 3 of us unsure where we are then......Vermont/Missouri????

My husband has been told not to worry,so I guess we have to trust( HAHAHAHA) that the powers what be know what they're doing.

Im going to try sit back and relax,focus on my visit in a few weeks and get christmas and new year over with then start watching my timeline more closely. Lets keep each other posted if we hear anything.

Hello everyone! I have an update. Today (09/13/2012), I checked my case status which said the following:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Before this update, just to remind those who know and don't know me, I sent my I-130 to the Chicago Lockbox which was then sent to Vermont Service Center. From there it was sent to National Benefits Center (NBC). Now my new update is that it was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. Also I am a U.S Citizen who is living abroad with my husband. We will be leaving together once everything is approved. Can anyone be kind enough to tell me what this clearly means? I want to make sure if everything is going smoothly and what others think. And please feel free to share similar experiences as well which will help me to better understand what is going on. I just received a message saying,

On September 13, 2012, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. We filed I-130 for my mother-in-law with NOA1 date of August 28, 2012. On Sept 4, the case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Where does it mention the office it was sent to? On the USCIS website or the letter they sent you?

Mine just got transferred too. Read on New August I-130 Filers thread, everybody's been talking about cases being transferred..

My application was touched today. (Last updated 09/13/2012) .. yesterday it said "your case has been transferred to another office" .. now it says "is now being processed at a USCIS office." ok so what difference does it make. I dont even know which office it went to..

After being routed to CSC for 2 weeks, I dont know anymore where my case is right now after being transferred to another unspecified USCIS office.. Guess we are on the same boat just like the rest ..

the USCIS OFFICE they were referring to is the Lees Summit, MO. I think that's NBC. That's what the ISO told me.

ok I called and talked to an ISO. the USCIS office they sent our stuff to is at the NBC. because of the backlogged they have at CSC. Will find out if NBC will get our stuff faster.. hmm.. im a USC living abroad. i thought I'd fall on the "auto-expedite" thing. but hmm, Idk. goodluck to us.
