As I have been saying, my case was closed on July 31 and still up till now they haven't schedule any interview. I called NVC and they keep repeating the same answer. They are always telling me that they are waiting for US consulate in Lagos to provide interview slots. It is exactly 23 days and nothing yet. I am contemplating getting in touch with my United States Senators or congresswoman. This is really ridiculous.

Hey no need starting another thread about no interview date yet, just continue posting on the one you already created............. As for me i have given up on calling them about dates cos am tired of hearing the same thing, and am sure it wont make a difference if you keep calling everyday, they will give a date when dates are available............. just relax okay good.gifgood.gif, we are in this together

I understand the frustration, yet at only 23 days in on your wait, you should understand that it takes any where from 1-4 months to get an interview. Lagos processes other visas as well, everything in this process takes time. Keep smiling, your time is coming!

   So you want to involve your congressman so they can tell them the same thing? What don't you understand about embassies send NVC interview slots for IR1/CR1 and it not being NVC's fault that the embassy hasn't done that yet?

I agree it is very aggravating. My friend G and her husband were Case Closed the exact date you were, and the same...no interview date yet. Same for me and my husband...we had Case Closed on August 6th...no interview date. I understand the frustration, I'd like to have a date set in stone...even if it is two or three months out so I could go ahead and schedule my ticket and plan for other things I'm trying to get done before my husband gets home.

We just have to keep praying for each other, praying for WHOEVER IS SCHEDULING INTERVIEWS for our CR-1/IR-1 folks at the embassy...and keep loving and supporting each other in the meantime.

If you look at Nigeria's spreadsheet, you will also see that it is just not us. There are many in our group who received NOA2 back as far as February, who have not received interview dates yet. It seems as if we are looking at a timeline around October or November for interviews. Here is the link if you'd like to do some research. Just seeing the facts is helping me try to focus on something,"anything", else for awhile.

I am not even at NOA2 yet but I can feel your frustration...I know calling a million times may not change a thing per the embassy but I also know it helps for you to think you are at least doing something for your case...so call on I say...as Dana and Divine said we are here for one another.. that is what VJ is for...so you can vent and share your frustrations on this journey...I have learned very fast it's not easy...but God is going to see you through..and yes we need to pray for those in charge of scheduling interviews..only God has the power to open that door and he can and will! Hugs to you..stay encouraged and prayed up!

We are now in another week. For those of us waiting for interview date, I pray we hear from NVC or US Consulate, Lagos within the week.

Just got off the phone with NVC. Nothing yet. As usual, the operator keep telling me that they are still waiting for an interview slot from US Consulate, Lagos. This is really ridiculous.

Considering that someone on here went for an interview today and was denied, I wouldn't worry too much about how far, but rather on how well.....!!!!
