Did you just choose to submit to the local office? They just get forwarded to Chicago---->MSC anyway. The fastest route generally is to send it directly to Chicago.

you would probably get more responses if you posted in the AOS/EAD forum.

See I am registered too, but I was wondering the same thing. Our friend just got his EAD and he only sent it 2-3 weeks before us. Does this mean ours is possibily on the way? Will it say touched everytime they do something with it? Or when something big happens?

some people get touched all the time, some never. it just depends. i wouldnt worry too much about it unless your past the processing dates. My AOS interview status still says :

The interview scheduled in this case has been canceled. You will be notified if the interview is rescheduled.

I never sent it to chicago.... I sent it to Nebraska then they sent it to Lee's summit office... now I looked online and it shows this...

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 20, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

and

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

Your I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION was received on September 7, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

sooooo now I am really confused

Nebraska was the wrong place to send it to, therefore they sent it to Lee Summit for you. Transfer to CSC is typically a good thing. Check out the AOS forum, there is usually 3 or so threads about this topic going at any one time. It can mean approval without an interview among other things.

your EAD is still processing as normal as none of them get transfered to CSC, they just process via local office.
