Regarding PCC

I have completed my 12th from Mumbai and my bachelors from Pune.

After completing my bachelors, I went to USA for my Master's for 3 years, after which I got married and I am in India in Gujarat since last 1 1/2 year.

My I-130 has been approved and the invoice has been paid by my husband.

I called up NVC to ask and they said that I will have to collect the local PCC from all the cities i have lived in after 16 years of age except USA.

Has anybody faced similar issue?

I understand that I will definitely have to collect local PCC from Anand in Gujarat where I live since last 1 1/2 year.

Will I have to collect the local PCC from all cities in Maharashtra as well where I lived after 16 years of age?

Please help me with your advice if anybody has gone through similar problem.

No...U just have to submit PCC from Passport Office i.e. PSK and since u r from Anand u will fall under Vadodara PSK Jurisdiction ....But to obtain that u will hav to obtain Local PCC from Local Police Station from locality where u stay....and then Local PCC will be required to obtain Passport PCC....At NVC or Embassy u will just hav to submit Passport PCC and not Local PCC...

April 29 2015 Welcome Letter from NVC in Email


May 05 2015 DS-261 reviewed over phone


May 06 2015 AOS & Civil Documents sent to NVC


May 07 2015 Documents received at NVC


May 08 2015 Email from NVC to pay IV Fees


June 08 2015 IV PAID


June 10 2015 Submitted DS-260


July 13 2015 Case Completed


July 29 2015 Finally....Got Interview Date


Sep 18 2015 Interview (Approved)

AS you are submitting in Mumbai you do not require ANY local reports you only need to have PCC from the passport office. The rules vary depending which consulate you are working through. You may wish to call up VFS-Mumbai to check on these types of details, just as a backup.
