I received today thru text & email alert that they just sent my interview schedule.

Then my husband came and handed me a letter from USCIS and it's my I-797C Interview Schedule

and the date on the notice was August 17 but they did not sent me an alert until today.

Anyways, my questions are:

I don't have my EAD yet but already have an interview appointment, is that ok?

On the things to bring on the interview day, it says bring petitioner's birth certificate

and provide document that he is US Citizen, my husband doesn't have passport, is birth certificate going to be enough?

And what are usual questions that they will ask?

Goodluck to us on our interview day :)

Congrats first of all im happy for you guys ! progress with USCIS is good ..

It's ok not the have the EAD before the interview, a friend of mine had her EAD, and a week later her AOS Interview following a GC..so i dont think there's a reason to worry.

i believe a birth certificate will do, think of any other documents he might have, the more the better.

they asked us, how we met, where we met, questions about bank account, tax returns, family questions like how many family members, names..

stuff you should know :)

A US birth certificate is sufficient proof of being a US citizen. Some of those letters have a standard wording of which documents to bring. Had your husband been a naturalized citizen, a foreign birth certificate wouldn't prove being a USC.

Is common not to get EAD if interview date before getting EAD approved. Some get it though, some don't. However, your timeline indicates that your EAD was approved?

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Well thank you for the information.

I think I can answer the questions pretty well just that my husband might not. He's not so good in remembering stuff like dates & etc :bonk:

I'm pretty excited and nervous at the same time :(

He is a US Citizen because he was born here so we're confused about that requirement.

I believe my EAD was approved because I already received two emails indicating my card is in production already so I guess I'll just have to wait.

Yeah I have to review him about the information.

Anyways, I just checked my email that I haven't checked for almost 4 years and unfortunately all my email logs with him while

we were chatting got deleted by hotmail in some funky way. And he used to chat with me on his previous works email, so there's

no way he can access his.

Now we don't have a proof about our online chats but we have pictures and cards that he gave me, will that be a problem?
