Joe is angry about something. Maybe he just has a thing for Contessa. But, Joe left the fold a long time ago, and probably ain't coming back.

Joe is a Republican from the pre-hijack era. He's a conservative but he ain't no nutcase. Hence, there's no room for him the the GOP. ;)

Joe came in the Gingrich wave of the 1994 Contract with America, but he never was part of the clique, didn't fit in with the rest of the freshmen. Maybe that is why he is so bitter.

So Joe not supporting Romney's lies means he is bitter? Maybe he just wants to be able to look in the mirror in the mornings without being disgusted.

This has nothing to do with Romney. This has more to do with keeping his job at MSNBC.

ETA: Think of him as the counterpart to Juan Williams at Fox. Juan finally has a decent paycheck, and none of the restrictions he had while at NPR. Juan is still a liberal by nature, but he has a hard on for Obama, whom he blames for getting him fired at NPR.

I see. MSNBC made him do it. I'm sure there was an Obama operative standing with a gun pointed to his head somewhere. Joe did look distressed when he made that comment.

Maybe CNN had a gun held to Gingrich's head when he said there was "no proof".

Who held a gun to Newt's head when he called the Romney/Ryan Medicare plan right wing social engineering?

Was it the Ryan/Romney plan when he said it?

It doesn't really matter. Romney sucks, almost as bad as Obama. Gingrich turned out to be a big disappointment as well. The whole of the GOP seems to have become the party they used to despise not that long ago.

Romney doesn't say 'new ideas'. The Republicans need some new dynamic politicians, rather than wheeling out the same chaff each time. I'm surprised mccain didn't run again.

Obama will win, but he won't have earned it. It'll be because Romney isn't worth voting for.
