If you did electronic processing through NVC and the case complete today, you're looking at an interview any day in October. Of you did not do electronic processing, it would be probably December with a possibility of November. If electronic, you should know the interview date by next week.

Hi, Pushbrk,I did the same thing as Chen, my stupid lawyer was refused to use EP method(which I knew about EP earlier, and hired a lawyer was the most stupid idea to begin with). Anyways, I received this email from NVC that our paperwork has sent out to Guangzhou Embassy on 08/02/12. What's the approximate time/date I can receive the interview date? (I am really hoping that the interview is in October the latest.) Thank you!

Then your question has already been answered in this thread. "Comments to profiles" is not a way to get responses. Post your question to the public forum as you did here, where others can benefit from the discussion. That's how VJ works. If your had read this thread, you would already have your answer though.

I did not do electronic either because I'm just not computer savy.

Here's a question for everyone that has done this, I noticed the NOA2 approval has a valid date that expires 12/13/2012 so I'm assuming they have to get something setup before that time correct? I've never heard this NOA2 had an experation date anywhere before.

We are discussing a spouse visa case, where the I-130 approval does not expire. Even though your profile indicates you filed for a N/A visa, you must be a K1 filer. Anyway, no the Consulate does NOT have to schedule an interview before the petition approval expires, though they usually do. If they don't, they have the authority to extend the approval indefinitely if they know you're still pursuing the visa.

Electronic processing is not relevant to the K1 process. The K1 has no "processing" input from the USC while at NVC. It passes through in a week or so without your input.
