Really Confused can someone please explain?

Timeline

Wheb the processing timeframe for the L.A field office in i-485 cases is 5 months, is that counting the time that NBC receives your petition,or does time start ticking when the case is transfered to the field office? my lawyer said sinse we sent our packet late May,i might be getting an interview October or November ,but i dont understand how. I appreciate any input.

June, 1996: EWI from Honduras and been here ever since !
April , 2001: American born father filed I-130
May 22 , 2012 : Lawyer sent AOS
June 10, 2012 : checks cashed
June 11, 2012 : NOA's arrived
June 13, 2012 : Biometrics appointment arrived for July 5th
June 19, 2012: Succesful walk-in at Bellflower,ca office
July 25, 2012 : First card production ordered text/email
July 30, 2012 : second card production ordered text/email
July 30 ,2012 : Third text/email approval notice sent
July 31,2012 : Fourth text/email usps reported it picked up email
Aug 2, 2012 : Fifth email USPS has delivered your new card at address on file
Sep 7,2012 : Text notification update: On September7th we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for October 10,2012!!
Sep 10,2012: receieved interview letter in the mail for October 10 at LA field office!

May 6,2013 : Recieved email I-485 approved

May 10,2013: card document production ordered/ received Welcome letter

May 16,2013: Received Green Card in Mail!

The timeframe listed on the processing chart will be from the date it is received. If it says 5 months, that means the field office is currently averaging below the 5 month mark for that type of application (based on the date that office received the application, not the date of initial filing).

I'm looking at the chart right now for L.A. and it's stating they are just now processing cases from February 14, 2012. But, to be fair I've seen cases settled in three months on here, so anything is possible!

Here's the link for your reference. They typically update monthly but I do notice this hasn't been updated since June 30. You can also keep an eye on your case via USCIS website if you have your receipt number. Best of luck!
