Texas Judge Suggests He Will Join ‘Civil Unrest, Civil Disobedience, Civil War Maybe’ If Obama Is Reelected

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.

An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA's staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.

"He's going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?," Head asked.

"I'm thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

"Now what's going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He's going to send in U.N. troops. I don't want 'em in Lubbock County. OK. So I'm going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say 'you're not coming in here'.

"And the sheriff, I've already asked him, I said 'you gonna back me' he said, 'yeah, I'll back you'. Well, I don't want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me."

Whether you agree with the judge, or think his theories are unrealistic, the reality is a tax hike that will provide an additional $832,433 coupled with $2 million in cuts to make the numbers work.

You can sound off at two public hearings, Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Monday at 10a.m. Both hearings are at commissioner's court.

Lubbock County Judge: Complete Economic Collapse, Probably Not Civil War, if Obama Wins

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head raised some eyebrows yesterday after he told a local TV station that the tax hike he was pushing for? Oh, it's just so the county can be prepared for when Obama, upon reelection, orders UN tanks into town and sparks a second civil war.

In a rambling interview with the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Head sort of stepped back from his remarks. Except not really at all.

As emergency management director I have to think of the worse case scenario, and I used that as an example yesterday, okay. In my opinion the worst case scenario politically financially right now is if Obama and the Senate Democrats stay in power, okay. Because I have some opinions of what they're doing and what they're trying to do if they stay in power, and I have to prepare for that. Does that mean I think the UNs going to come rolling into lubbock? No that's probably not going to happen. An F5 tornado is probably not going to come into Lubbock. I gotta prepare for it, though.

He goes on:

I pray for the president I come in here to this office between 6:30 and 7 every day monday through friday and I pray for him and I pray for our leaders we're instructed in the word of god to pray for our leaders. God put Barack Obama in office. I don't know why he did. I wouldn't have put him in office, but I'm not God. God has his hand on human history and he's going to raise up leaders and pull them down as he sees fit according to His Will and his purposes, So am I going to go shoot the president? No. I don't even know that he can be considered a threat, I'm just saying -- and I'm surprised that some militia group say in the north central part of the United States or whatever. I'm surprised they haven't been more vocal against not only Barack Obama but any government official but they've been kind of quiet lately I don't know why.

I suspect if something like that happens and there is an economic collapse and whatever I suspect especially in West Texas there seems to be a sort of cooperative spirit in West Texas to help your neighbors more, and that would be good. That would be a good thing.
