I look at it from the bright side. It helps Identify birthers right away, thus precluding the need to take their comments seriously. It is a time saver, oftentimes. rofl.gif

I believe it's used more tongue-in-cheek on this board as a razz towards the birthers.

I gave an example of an otherwise, innocuous word, "boy" to show that in the right context, could be slanderous.

There was a black fireman who was subjected to being called 'boy' by some of the other firemen. He filed a lawsuit. Whatever you want to classify it, it is offensive, wrong and shouldn't be tolerated by left or right.

I agree with you, but I also think that the choice of words says more about the person who utters them, than the subject of the discourse.

In essence, it's not what you call me, so much as to what I answer, that matters.

Yes, he is, his Father was 100% Kenyan. We are all Americans if we are born here, but that does not change our ethnic backgrounds. If someone were to refer to your daughter as the German or the Ethiopian, would it be slander or defamation?

Not as long as calling her German or Ethiopian calls into question her eligibility to hold an office reserved for natural born Americans.

Even then it does not fall under the definition of slander or defamation.

The way you win a slander or defamation case is by proving the allegation was false. So, if the Kenyan born citizen of Indonesia foreign University of Columbia student wants to, he can release all his records to the public.

Just ask Obama to release his school records to the public. I think he is the only President that has refused to do so.

I shared the belief he should make his school records public too, but that was before I learned that tax returns are not important. If we can't care about tax returns, why should we care about school records?

Exactly.

Has anyone looked into these new documents from Bain that Gawker released?

Obama could end all this speculation just by releasing his school records.

In the end Obama is a politician. He will probably not release it, following in Romney's footsteps, thus exposing the hypocrisy of the other side of the aisle.

Besides, much stronger speculation has been created by Romney's refusal to release his tax returns, so Obama's school records have been eclipsed by Romney.
