Hi guys! just wanna let you know that The date of my interview is scheduled on 25 September, I guess there are some VJ members who have the same date that They may meet Zyzz at Casablanca hahaha.

Oh by the way, my fiancee's birthday is 21 September.. time to kneel and pray and do the best i could to not disappoint my fiancee after her birthday, hoping to get not denied otherwise i'll end up getting hard attack or something hahaha.

I miss you VJ members.

Hello, i had my interview 3 days ago, it was a hell of an interview, i got a 221(g), so not yes or no so far, regardless if you're through K-1 or CR-1 or any other type of visa, YOU NEED TO SHOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE NEEDING THIS VISA, DO NOT BE EXTRA POLITE OR EXTRA RESPECTFUL!!

You need to hit the points that are really what the CO gives the highest attention to, for example, you need to give a convincing answer regarding your fiance's financial status, MAKE THINGS SHINE eventhough they don't shine, u know what i mean? if He / She interrupts you, you should respectfully say that you really need to make that answer clear to Him/Her, instead of just obey and continue answering like a machine.

I forgot to say Good Luck, but more importantly, i want to add that being only truthful and honest is not ENOUGH, as i said, hit the points that the COs give high attention to, mostly financial.

Oh i'm sorry to hear that, Honestly, this is scaring me, but What happened in the interview? if you don't mind telling me, cause i may learn something new that i don't know about how things goes with the interviewer.. is there any red flags or something?

My biggest red flag is gap age.

i won't be extra polite or extra respectful, I won't be someone else i'm not, i'll be just ME

So tell me, What is the 221(g)?

I'll take those helpful advices for sure, thank you!

News flash - the CO will have copies of your wife/fiance's tax returns, so if her financial situation doesn't "shine" and you make it sound as if it does by your answers, then they will either 1 - assume you're lying or 2 - assume you don't know the reality of her financial situation. Either one isn't going to help your interview outcome.

And, good luck on that plan not to be too respectful or polite. Let us know how that works out for you!

I agree with msheesha......being a little extra polite and respectful is never a bad idea at any type of interview (job, visa, etc)!! It doesn't mean you're being something you're not. You can still be yourself ........good luck :)

Good luck on your visa, hopefully you'll hear something soon, but I don't agree when you say " YOU NEED TO SHOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE NEEDING THIS VISA ". That makes it sound like your desperate and trying to escape from something.

I speak from experience I was with my husband at his interview, the CO interviewed us both at the same time together at the window......we were honest, as relaxed as possible, positive, friendly and yes, a little extra polite and respectful. We were lucky the CO was a decent man who let us speak and finish our sentences, he looked at all of our photos and asked us relevant questions. We made it clear to him that we really hoped not to get put into AP, but he nicely explained even though he beleived we had a true marriage, that AP is basically standard procedure (at least for Qatar/Egypt). My husband was in AP for 3 months, but he did get the visa and he's been here over 2 years now and just got his 10 year GC approved without any problem.

Good luck :)
